County bracing as hurricane heads here

Here we go again.
Weeks after Hurricane Florence raked the Carolinas, Category 2 Hurricane Michael is headed for Lexington County.
The National Hurricane Center reports the good news is that it may fall back to tropical storm level before it arrives here Thursday. If it takes a predicted path, expect strong wind and heavy rains.
The Weather Prediction Center is expecting up to 3 inches of rain. This will not be good for areas saturated from Hurricane Florence.
Michael is expected to strike the Florida Panhandle Wednesday with storm surge, damaging wind and heavy rains. It strengthened to Category 2 intensity, with wind speed up to 110 mph.
It may reach Category 3 with winds up to 129 mph.
Florence was a Category 4 with winds up to 156 mph when it hit Wilmington, NC.
Michael will bring heavy rain and strong winds to other parts of the southeast as it moves north toward us.
State officials asked pond owners to check their dams and lower water levels to avoid problems.
The SC Department of Health and Environmental Control said soil still saturated from Florence could increase runoff into ponds.
SC Electric & Gas has lowered Lake Murray levels.
Hurricane force wind can topple trees and cause dams to break, flooding downstream neighborhoods.
As Michael switches track, timing and strength, expect changes in the forecast.
