Good Tuesday morning.
Dr. Anthony Fauci has some great news.
He is one of those on CVD daily TV updates.
He writes in the New England Journal of Medicine:
CVD fatality rates may be considerably less than 1%.
This may be like severe influenza rates of 0.1%.
CVD may not be like SARS or MERS - 9% to 36%.
This does not mean we should take chances.
Each infected person infects at least 2 others.
Once this falls below 1 infected, the spread will slow.
These are, as Thomas Paine wrote 200 years ago,
the times that try men’s (and women’s) souls.
Imagine what it would have been like in 1776 if
we had to deal with redcoats and covid-19, too.
Aren’t we fortunate to be alive in 2020?
Please share your good news with us.
