Your child or grandchild need college money?
The SC State Fair is offering $300,000 in Ride of Your Life scholarships for students to attend SC colleges.
The fair offers 50 of the $6,000 scholarships to SC high school seniors for $1,500 a year for 4 years. 
2-year degree students will receive $1,500 a year.
“We feel strongly it is important to continue our scholarship program even though the pandemic greatly affected the fair in 2020,” general manager Nancy Smith said.  “Students will need extra funding for college more than ever.”
The scholarships must be used:
• Used at SC higher education institution.
• To cover tuition and other expenses including campus housing, computers and textbooks.
Criteria include academic and extracurricular achievement, communication skills and need.
Applications must be completed at scstatefair.org by March 15. 
Winners will be notified in mid-May.
Recipients must retain a 3.0 GPA and enroll in no less than 30 credit hours an academic year.
