A new church in Irmo

Posted

A new option will soon be available if you seek a new church home.
Arise Church will launch their first worship service April 14.
It is a non-denominational church with a contemporary worship style.
Pastors Dallas and Renee Freeland have been preparing to launch the church for over 10 months.
They began back in June 2018 when the Arise launch team began to form around a common vision and mission. After several months, the team was established and the pursuit of a facility began last October.
They quickly found a church building on the Irmo side of the Lake Murray dam. It needed major renovations, but Dallas felt this was the place to begin. They made an offer and took possession December 28.
The planting of Arise Church came out of a vision and call given to Dallas and Renee to shepherd God’s people when their ministry journey began over 10 years ago. Through a series of divine relationships and guidance over that time, they began to feel a calling to enter into full-time ministry.
They were not certain where they would settle at first. The answer came in 2018 and it was to plant a church here in Lexington County. Dallas’s dad and stepmother are long-time residents of Irmo where they and the children would visit for spring breaks from Ohio.
The Arise mission statement is: We exist to awaken hearts to spiritual passion for God and to activate people in their Kingdom purpose locally and abroad.
Their vision is to impact their generation with the life transforming gospel of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. With Dallas as their [astor, I’m sure they will make that impact on our community.
Arise Church is at 227 Lincreek Drive, Columbia. Follow them on Facebook and check out their website at arisechurchlife.com.
Plan on visiting them Sunday April 14 at 10:30 am.
