42 confirmed SC covid deaths and 2 probable deaths were reported Wednesday.

None were in Lexington or Richland counties.

The Department of Health & Environmental Control announced Wednesday's cases and deaths (scdhec.gov/COVID19) .

Cumulative totals (scdhec.gov/COVID19)

  • Confirmed and probable cases: 241,471/18,648
  • Confirmed and probable deaths: 4,444/356
  • Tests performed for South Carolinians: 3,183,377

Testing opportunities (scdhec.gov/findatest)

  • Testing opportunities available statewide:  314

Percent positive (scdhec.gov/COVID19dashboard)

  • 11,786 new individual test results reported statewide (not including antibody tests)
  • 20.6% tested positive as infected.
  • That means 79.4% tested negative as uninfected.
