Health officials reported 14 SC covid-19 deaths today but all occurred last week or earlier.

The Department of Health and Environmental Control has no control over when deaths are reported.

Many legitimate reasons delay such reports, DHEC officials say.

Today DHEC announced:

525 new confirmed cases and 16 new probable cases.

Lexington County had 33 new cases and Richland County 82.

- 7 confirmed deaths and 7 probable deaths.

No deaths were reported in Lexington County but a middle-aged individual died in Richland County 2 days ago.
- Confirmed cases to date are 130,256, probable cases 2,424, confirmed deaths 2,922 and 155 probable deaths.

- As of yesterday, 1,155,593 tests have been conducted in the state.

- 5,357 individual test results were reported yesterday statewide.

- Of those, the percent positive was 9.8%.

That means 90.2% tested negative as uninfected.
