SC health officials today reported 489 confirmed covid-19 cases and 43 probable cases 

Lexington County had 37 of those cases.

2 Lexington County deaths earlier this week

SC health officials today reported 489 confirmed covid-19 cases and 43 probable cases 

Lexington County had 37 of those cases.

Richland County and Columbia had 67.

The SC Department of Health and Environmental Control also announced:

- 28 additional confirmed deaths and 10 new probable deaths.

All of these deaths occurred earlier in September.

2 elderly deaths in Lexington County occurred Monday.

3 elderly deaths in Richland County and Columbia occurred earlier in the month.

Confirmed cases to date are131,428, probable cases 2,694, confirmed deaths 2,968 and 164 probable deaths.

- As of yesterday, 1,172,420 tests have been conducted in the state.

- 3,635 individual test results were reported to DHEC yesterday.

- Of these, the percent positive was 13.5% infected.

That means 86.5% tested negative as uninfected.
