Pelion Middle student arrested for making death threat

An 11-year-old Pelion Middle School student was charged Friday with threatening to kill another student.

The 6th-grader attempted to fight a 12-year-old student at the school Oct. 4 during dismissal. He also made threats to kill the kill the other student, according to reports.

A Lexington County deputy interviewed the male student, whose name will not be released because he’s under the age of 18, at the school before releasing him to the custody of his parents.

The student will appear in Lexington County Family Court at a later date.
