Lexington Police officers are taking reports by phone of non-violent incidents .

This is to protect you and others from spreading the corona virus.

Patrol Division supervisors will review information from county 911 dispatchers and determine if an officer will respond in person or take the report over the phone.

Officers will be on this alternative call response 24 hours a day until further notice.

The Town of Lexington Municipal Complex is closed to the public, and officers are not taking walk in reports.

If in need of police services, call 911 for emergencies and 803-359-6260 for non-emergencies.
