Lots of teachers, and staff from Saluda River Academy for the Arts conducted a parade Wednesday. (More photos below)
The “Honk for Bobcat Unity in the Community Parade,” was an effort to show SRAA students how much they are missed and loved by the their school. Schools are closed due to the coronavirus crisis.
The parade left from the back parking lot of SRAA and moved east, turning off of Gunter Circle onto Duke Street. The 30 or so vehicles then turned right onto Mohawk Drive to Sunset Boulevard. The procession traveled past the homes of students. In many cases parents stood with their children, waving and smiling as the teacher rode by.
The parade lasted about an hour-and-a-half. And social distancing was practiced at all times.
