SLED probes Pine Ridge police car burning

Late Friday night, July 31, someone intentionally set fire to a Pine Ridge patrol car at police headquarters.

Pine Ridge’s Police Chief Vince Silano was notified and the investigation turned over to the SC State Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

Some images on surveillance video have been reviewed.

The vehicle that fled the scene of the fire is believed to be have traveled southwest on Fish Hatchery Road to Pine Ridge Drive.

At that point, the vehicle turned left and continued in the direction of Charleston Highway (321 S).

More videos will be reviewed as a part of this investigation, but agents need your tips.

Paul Kirby of the Lexington Ledger said the public can help.
