Don't open packages from anyone you don't know.

It could be a dangerous scam.

The US Department of Agriculture reports people have received seeds by the mail from China that they did not order.

The seeds are sent in packages marked that the contents were jewelry.

Unsolicited seeds could be invasive, introduce diseases or harm livestock.

If you receive unsolicited seeds from another country, DO NOT plant them.

If they are in sealed packaging (as in the photo above) don't open the package.

This is known as agricultural smuggling.

Report it to USDA and maintain the seeds and packaging until USDA instructs you what to do.

They may be needed as evidence.
