Suspects wanted for vehicle breakins

Chief Terrence Green is requesting the help of the Town of Lexington community in identifying the subjects who were involved in the theft of a vehicle and who are also suspected of being involved in a series of auto tampering and vehicle break-ins of unsecured vehicles within several neighborhoods.
On Thursday, September 27, 2018, officers took a report of a black 2014 Kia Optima, displaying South Carolina license plate “HLF527”, that was stolen overnight from the 100 block of Hunters Ridge Drive in the Hunters Ridge neighborhood.  The vehicle had been left unsecured with a set of keys inside.
During the overnight hours of Thursday, September 13, 2018 and Thursday, September 27, 2018, home security videos from several neighborhoods showed two subjects, specifically a slender black male suspect in his late teens to early 20’s with a long dreadlocks, wearing black and white tennis shoes and wearing a hoodie style sweat shirt during several of the events.  The subjects were seen in a silver or champagne colored sedan on the home security videos.
These incidents took place in the Barr Lake, Hunters Ridge, Palmetto Hall and Westbrook neighborhoods.
