The swimming advisory issued yesterday has been lifted.
The Midlands Rivers Coalition follow-up water quality samples at the 5 sites along rivers in Lexington and Richland counties show bacteria levels met the state standard for swimming.
Coalition partners discovered a sewer spill impacting 12 Mile Creek caused the elevated bacteria levels. The issues have been corrected, the coalition said.
