Facebook execs may feel better about their own legal problems.

Their competitors – or co-conspirators, as critics charge – at Google face 3 major lawsuits.

South Carolina and Attorney General Alan Wilson are involved in the 1st lawsuit.

Wilson is part of the Google lawsuit that Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is leading.

The lawsuit was brought with the US Department of Justice and 13 other states, according to Robert Kittle of Wilson's staff.

DOJ and the state AGs allege Google illegally runs a monopoly in online general search services by cutting off competitors from key distribution channels.

In 2 other Google lawsuits:

- Texas and 9 other state AGs target Google’s advertising technology services.

They allege Google has a monopoly in several steps of the online ad market, both on the buying and selling sides.

- A 3rd lawsuit filed Thursday by a bipartisan coalition of 38 AGs targets Google’s search services and search advertising but focuses on how its changing design has put competitors at a disadvantage.

Colorado’s AG says the group will file a motion to consolidate the case with case No. 1, the suit that SC has joined.
