Lexington police are asking for help in a death at the Hickory Hill mobile home park.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the victim of the homicide that occurred at approximately 1 am on Saturday, Sept. 19 in the 100 block of Industrial Drive in Lexington as Janet Carol Buril, 75, of Lexington.
She was pronounced dead at the scene due to blunt force trauma to the head.
The Lexington Police Department is investigating.
According to police, on Saturday, Sept. 19, at approximately 1:20 pm, officers were dispatched to the Hickory Hill mobile home park, located at 142 Industrial Blvd. in Lexington, regarding a woman who was found dead inside of her residence.
Detectives from the Lexington Police Department Criminal Investigations Division and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office responded to the residence and an investigation began to determine how this woman died.
