Toilet brush version sent designers back to the drawing boards

Lets run this one up the flag pole and see who salutes.
Historians have taken a 2nd shot at designing the SC flag.
“We may still have to do a few tweaks yet, but I think it’s a heck of a lot better,” said Lexington County Sen. Ronnie Cromer who proposed a standard flag design.
The widely-mocked 1st attempt was scrapped.
Critics said the palmetto tree looked like a used toilet brush.
Now they propose 2 options to state lawmakers, the Charleston Post and Courier reported..
Both address the chief complaint about the first proposed design:
The 2 other features of the flag – the crescent in the top-left corner and the deep shade of indigo – are unchanged.
Option A uses the palmetto tree design that first appeared on the 2nd official state flag.
It was adopted in 1910, according to the SC State Flag Study Committee.
Option B is a new palmetto tree design  used by a commercial flag maker since the 1950s.
At nearly 70 years old, the study committee still considers the design historic.
Now lawmakers can pick which one they like best.
We are interested in your preference for the flag design.
