Are you a Dominion Energy ratepayer?
If so, the SC Public Service Commission will conduct virtual public night hearings this week for you.
Dominion Energy wants a 7.7% electric rate increase.

The investor-owned utility serves Lexington County.

The rate increase is a little more than half the 15% rate cut Dominion was forced to give ratepayers when it bought Cayce-based SCANA and SC Electric & Gas.

Part of the rate increase covers billions in debt Dominion acquired from the SCE&G-Santee Cooper nuclear reactor fiasco.

The virtual hearings will begin at 6 pm Tuesday, Nov. 10
and Thursday, Nov. 12.
