A Lexington woman died after being struck by a motor vehicle on North Lake Drive (SC 6) near Andrew Corley Road.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identified the pedestrian who died on Nov. 20 at approximately 9:20 pm in the 1500 block of North Lake Drive as Ms. Terry B. Aughtry, 60, of Lexington. Fisher said Aughtry was walking in the road when she was struck by a motor vehicle. Aughtry was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later due to her injuries. The driver of the vehicle, who was not injured, stopped at the scene to render aid.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
