Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rules Committee Chairman James McGovern propose to use “gender-inclusive” language.
Terms to be struck from the House Code of Official Conduct would include “mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, 1st cousin, nephew, niece, husband, wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, stepsister, half brother, half sister, grandson and granddaughter.”

“If one were to change their gender and go through that process by their own free will, then OK. That means they decided to become a female or a male.”
