Pine Ridge Middle school threat

15-year-old threatened to shoot classmate

A 15-year-old female Pine Ridge Middle School student has been charged with threatening students after deputies say she spoke of bringing a gun to school and shooting another student.

A Lexington County deputy interviewed the student, whose name will not be released because she's under 18, at her home Tuesday evening before releasing her to the custody of her mother.

The student will appear in Lexington County Family Court at a later date.

This is the 3rd threat at Pine Ridge Middle this school year.

In the 1st incident Sept. 30, a 12-year-old male threatened on social media to bring a gun to school and use it against another student.
That student was charged with threats against a school and released to the custody of his parents.

The 2nd occurred when a female 12-year-old Pine Ridge Middle School student was charged Oct. 31 with threatening students.
Police reports indicate the student told 2 others she was going to kill them.

That student was charged and released to the custody of her parents.
