Lexington clinic tests negative
By Chuck McCurry
A Lexington clinic has tested over 50 people with zero positives.
About 5% were asymptomatic but wanted to be tested, said Dr. Lachin Hatemi of Veritas Health Group.
The others had some symptoms, but they were similar to flu, a common cold or allergies. The only way to know for sure is to have the corona virus test.
How can you reduce your chance of being infected?
Dr. Hatemi recommends:
• Strictly adhere to the CDC guidelines for social distancing. He called it the best way to slow the spread.
• Drink plenty of water.
It helps the immune system stay at peak efficiency.
• Eat healthy. Plenty of fruit and vegetables.
• Take your vitamins including folic acid and B-12.
• Rest a lot and often.
• Most importantly reduce your stress. Yes, that is in the category of “easier said than done.” But if you do not reduce it you are weakening your immune system.
All viral infections including shingles and herpes occur when we are stressed.
