AG: Executive order for groups in SC can't override Constitution

Governor says it was meant for boisterous, unruly crowds

SC Gov. Henry McMaster's order to law enforcement to disperse groups of 3 or more is unconstitutional in certain circumstances.
The SC Attorney General issued an opinion Tuesday that gatherings for weddings, funerals and worship should be excluded from law enforcement interference under Constitutional rights.
According to a press release Tuesday:
"Today, the Attorney General’s Office issued an opinion providing guidance to the State Law Enforcement Division, local law enforcement, and the public on the enforcement of Gov. Henry McMaster’s executive order for law enforcement to disperse groups of 3 or more people."
