Bud Timmons Obituary

Homer T. “Bud” Timmons, 79, of Chapin, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018.
Bud served in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves. He coached youth league baseball and basketball with Irmo Chapin Recreations, Seven Oaks Park, and the American Legion baseball. He was the owner of The Chapin Times, serving the Chapin area for over 30 years.
Surviving are his wife of almost 60 years, Delores “Dee” Timmons; son, Brent Timmons of Myrtle Beach and grandson, Christopher Timmons of Columbia; brothers, Jerry Timmons, Earl Timmons and sister, Shirley Craft. He was predeceased by a son, Keith Timmons; mother, Elua Martin and father, Homer Timmons.
A Celebration of Life was held November 19, 2018 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Dr., Lexington.
