LEXINGTON—Juanita Ramsey Criscione, 96, a native of Chester, S.C., for over 95 years and then Lexington, South Carolina, went home in the arms of angels on Friday, April 27, 2018.

Juanita was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Chester and loved her church family. A celebration of life was held April 30, 2018,  at the First Baptist Church of Chester with the Reverend Clay Waldrip officiating.  The family received friends April 30 at the church. Interment was private.

Juanita was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Alice Ramsey, her husband, John J. Criscione, Sr., her sons, John J. Criscione, Jr. and Richard B. Criscione. She is survived by her daughter, Paulette Criscione of Lexington. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Heidi C. Desilets (Shawn), Heather C. Kimbrell (Dan), and Ramsey C. Goodman. Great grandchildren, Trevor Desilets, Elliot, Tinsley and John J. Goodman, Madeline and Dock Kimbrell, two special nieces, Alice and Billie Ann, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Juanita worked in the Industrial Engineering Department of Spring Mills for over 30 years assisting the Plant Manager. Skilled in math, she trained numerous college students on the art of budgeting. Juanita was an avid golfer and won the Country Club championship several times. She was an advocate of exercise, good healthy food, and staying out of the sun. She loved to sing hymns and didn’t mind turning up the volume to a Patsy Cline song. She deeply loved her family, church, community, and the women that she bonded with forming the POW’s (Poor Old Widow Women). She was sometimes called “911” because she was always ready to help a friend in crises. Even with the death of her husband and two sons of cancer, she still lived life to the fullest with her infectious sense of humor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Johnny, Jay, and Richard Criscione can be sent to Cancer of Many Colors,  100 Old Cherokee Road, Suite F-339, Lexington, SC 29072. Phone number (803) 957-1048.
