LITTLE MOUNTAIN—Judy Kay Frick, 78, died Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Providence Hospital.
Born on June 9, 1941 in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Evelyn Keisler and John Heber Frick. She was a 1959 graduate of Chapin High School. She went to work for Old School Manufacturing Company and in 1960 she went to work for General Electric and retired there with over 40 years of service. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and was a descendant of Thomas Frick and Ulrich Mayer, two of the founders of the church. At age 18, Judy started teaching Vacation Bible School, taught Sunday School K-5 for over 30 years, served as a Luther League advisor, and helped with the nursery, and the Brownie Troop. Judy loved children and always enjoyed listening to The Bible Broadcasting Network.
She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Frick Shealy of Chapin; a niece, Charlene (Andrew) Lanford of Little Mountain; a great-nephew, John Andrew Lanford; and a great-niece, Elizabeth Lanford.
Funeral services were held at 4:00 PM Sunday, November 3, 2019 at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, 900 Dreher Island Road, Chapin, SC 29036.
