Few public officials are going to like hearing this. They need the sales tax to pay for all the services they provide us.

This tax revenue props up the vast bureaucracies we support in Washington, Columbia and right here in our communities.

But the internet has made massive changes in the way we buy, sell and tax those sales.

It was a hot topic last week at the U.S. Supreme Court.
