Local students attend The Masters

Posted

Last Thursday was an exciting day for Anna Moss, a junior at Gilbert High School. As part of the Women’s South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation, she was selected to attend the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta. Moss attended the tournament with two other Junior level students from Lexington schools. WSCGA Board member Dru Nix attended the tournament with the students. The Masters Golf Tournament is held the first week in April at the Augusta National Golf Club.

Congratulations to Ally Busbee, a junior at Gilbert High School, for winning an honorable mention for her art work along with a $250 scholarship. GHS students Katelyn Terrell and Jarrett Smith each have their art on display at the Columbia Museum of Art and at Lexington Medical Center as part of “The Art of Healing” competition.
