The River Bluff girls' soccer team opened its quest for an undefeated championship season Monday at home.
Nicolle Malpartida scored twice and added an assist as the Lady Gators defeated Socastee 6-1 in The Swamp.
River Bluff jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the 1st half. Goals were also scorered by Hannah Coats, Maddie Poole, Kennedy Duffie and Rylie Addis. 
The Lady Gators will play host to James Island on Wednesday. 


GIRLS SOCCER
Lexington 3, Carolina Forest 2
The Lady Wildcats scored twice in the second half to rally for the 1st round road victory.
Emma Grace Powers and Logan Kitts accounted for both goals and Trinity Broach scored a 1st half goal in the win.
Lexington will travel to either Fort Dorchester or Berkeley on Wednesday. 


White Knoll 4, St. James 0
The Lady Timberwolves claimed the first-round home playoff win.
They will travel to Wando Wednesday for the second-round matchup. 


Swansea 7, Hanahan 1 
The Lady Tigers will travel to Loris for the 2nd round of the Class 3A playoffs. 


Chapin 2, West Florence 1
The Lady Eagles picked up their first win in Class 5A Monday.
They will travel to Ashley Ridge on Wednesday. 


Airport 6, Hartsville 0 
Courtney Farr scored twice and Mary Pipkin, Reese Yarborough, Gracie Sightler and Brooke Still all had goals in the 1st round win. 
The Lady Eagles travel to top seed Bluffton on Wednesday. 


Wando 10, Irmo 0 
Waccamaw 2, Gilbert 0 

(GOLF) 
Wildcats win Region 5-5A title

The Lexington High School golf team rallied from 8 strokes down to hold off Chapin by 1 stroke to win the region title at the Ponderosa Club in Batesburg-Leesville.
The Wildcats trailed the Eagles 316-308 after the first round. They outscored Chapin 319-310 in the final round to finish with a score of 626. 
The Eagles took 2nd at 627, followed by River Bluff (655) and Dutch Fork (682).
Lexington, Chapin and River Bluff will compete in the Class 5A Lower State Qualifier on May 6 at Wescott Golf Club in North Charleston.
