A pair of former Chronicle Country head football coaches are headed into the S.C. Football Coaches Hall of Fame.

Allen Sitterle and Bob Hanna will join Rusty Charpia, the father of Brookland-Cayce head coach Reed Charpia, as inductees at the Dec. 13 event in Myrtle Beach.

A former draft pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Sitterle coached at Spartanburg, Lexington and Daniel, where he won 4 state titles. Most recently, he led SCISA school Andrew Jackson Academy to 3 8-man titles in 4 years.

Hanna spent 20 of his 35 seasons as head coach of Irmo High School and posted 257 victories. He led the program to 9 region titles and 3 state runner-up finishes.

Charpia won over 240 games in his high school career, winning a state title at James Island.

Other inductees will be J.R. Boyd (Lamar, Laurens), Nate Thompson (Choppee, Carvers Bay), Burney Bourne (Cheraw, Socastee and Waccamaw), Dennis Botts (Calhoun Falls, Abbeville), Chris Miller (Broome, Byrnes, Spartanburg) and Bob Prevatte (Gaffney).
