Lexington Post 7 completed a sweep of its Best-of-3 series Thursday at Monarch Field.

Post 7 (10-13) defeated Manning-Santee Post 68 by a 4-1 score to advance to the 2nd round of the South Carolina American Legion playoffs. It will now travel to Legion Field Monday to open a Best-of-5 series against top-seed Florence Post 1 starting at 7:30 pm.

Lexington scored all of its runs in the top 2nd. After loading the bases, Noah Lebron drove in a run after he was hit by a pitch. A balk drove in a 2nd run and Game 1 hero Brett McEwen of Batesburg-Leesville had a 2-run single.

Pitcher Will Lott of Lexington High School held Manning-Santee to 2 hits and finished with 2 strikeouts in a complete game victory. The lone run scored on a passed ball.
