The Lexington County Blowfish opened a busy stretch Monday with a doubleheader split with the Macon Bacon.
The Blowfish were held to three hits in a 5-0 loss in Game One.
The bats were more responsive in Game Two.
Carson "Mac" McCurdy of White Knoll and Jared Williams of Gilbert each belted 3-run home runs in an 8-1 victory.
Starter Brett Fulk allowed just five hits in five innings of work for the win, which snapped a 3-game skid.
McCurdy, Williams, Cole Tate and Trace Whetshell all had two hits for Lexington County.
The Blowfish (14-25, 5-8) return home Tuesday to face Florence. It's "Dog Day Tuesday" and fans are invited to bring their canines to Lexington County Baseball Stadium for free with a paid admission.
