The final day of the Cayce Roundball Classic saw Brookland-Cayce and Dutch Fork finish 4th in their respective brackets on Saturday.

Both teams were defeated in their 3rd place games by the same score (56-46).  Brookland-Cayce was defeated by Conway in the American bracket, while Dutch Fork fell to Westwood in the National Bracket.

AMERICAN BRACKET

(championship) 

A.C. Flora 51, Lakeside (Ga.) 42 

The Panthers of Evans, Ga. erased an early 12-6 deficit with 7 straight points to take the lead. A.C. Flora, ranked 5th in Class 4A, answered with a 16-5 run to close out the 1st half with the 28-18 lead.

University of South Carolina commit Patrick Iriel led the Falcons in the 1st half with 10 points, including 3 2-handed slam dunks. He finished with 14 in earning an All-Tournament selection.

A.C. Flora extended its lead as many as 15 points in the 2nd half to take the title led by tournament MVP Robert McCray with 15 points. J.B. Moore also scored in double figures for the Falcons with 11. 

Elisee Ehuie led Lakeside with 11 points. He and teammate Ty Briscoe were named to the All-Tournament team.

A.C. Flora will face Dutch Fork on Jan. 4 as part of the Lexington Shootout at Lexington High School. 

Conway 56, Brookland-Cayce 46

Tim Steele scored 18 points and Tonka Hemingway had 15 as the Tigers claimed the 3rd place trophy of the American bracket.

Both players were named to the All-Tournament team. 

Chamar Martin had 16 points and All-Tournament selection Aubrey Richardson finished with 12 for the Bearcats. 

Fairfield Central 72, Bamberg-Ehrhardt 62

Emmanuel March Jr. had 20 points, Kelton Mobley finished with 11 and Adrien Jackson added 10 to lead the Griffins.

Jacoby Crosby had 20 points and Anthony Jones finished with 19 for the Red Raiders.

Hammond 64, C.A. Johnson 24

Andre Wilson scored 17 points and Bentley Yates had 12 to lead the Highlanders, who 40-4 at halftime.  

Mike Johnson had 9 points for the Hornets.

NATIONAL BRACKET

Lower Richland 65, Fleming Island (Fla.) 57

Lower Richland jumping out to a 21-10 advantage midway into the 1st half. The visiting Golden Eagles rallied to get within a basket, but the Diamond Hornets answered with a layup by Quenton Flood and 3-pointer by Korey Richardson to take a 33-26 lead into the lockerroom.

Fleming Island opened the 2nd half with 3, 3-pointers during a 9-2 to tie the game at 35-35. Sebastian Ashor led the Golden Eagles with a game-high 20 points in making the All-Tournament team along with Marco Ashor. 

Lower Richland answered with a 8-0 run of its own to reclaim the lead. Richardson scored 4 straight points to push the Diamond Hornets’ lead back to double digits with 7:40 left in the 2nd half. 

A layup by Richardson gave Lower Richland its biggest lead at 50-38. The Golden Eagles made a final rally, cutting the deficit to 57-53 on a 3-point play by Ahman Greenidge with 1:02 left in the game. Lower Richland scored its final 8 points from the free-throw line to close out the victory.  

Richardson led Lower Richland with 18 points to earn National bracket MVP honors. Flood finished with 16 points in earning an All-Tournament selection, followed by Dajon Townsend with 11 and Anthony Huff with 10. 

Westwood 56, Dutch Fork 46 

The Redhawks used a 3-point shooting barrage to erase a 22-19 halftime deficit and take control of the game.

Cameron McBride and All-Tournament team selection Mike Peay combined for 7, 3-pointers during the 2nd half run. McBride finished with 16 points, including 4 3-pointers, and Peay had 11, including 3, 3-pointers.

All-Tournament team selection Jarvis Green led Class 5A 2nd ranked Dutch Fork with 11 points.

Westside 64, Gilbert 54

Khalon Hudson scored 16 of his game-high 20 points in the 2nd half as the Patriots outscored the Indians 47-33 in the 2nd half for the victory.

Jy Tolen led Gilbert with 18 points and Darius Boyce added 16.

South Aiken 72, Lugoff-Elgin 61

Donovan Hodge had 19 points and Dominick Hodge added 10 to lead the Thoroughbreds.

Devante Johnson, who hit the game-winning 3-pointer against Westside on Friday, had a game-high 20 points. Jordan Williams finished with 17 and Maurice Hayman had 12 for the Demons.
