Chapin to play in Claw Classic final Saturday

Chapin High School will play host to North Charleston Saturday in the final of the Chapin Claw Classic. 
The Eagles held off Fort Mill 39-36 on Friday, while the Cougars defeated Batesburg-Leesville 57-43 in the other semifinal. The final is set for 7:30 pm., preceded at 6 pm by the 3rd place contest between the Panthers and Yellow Jackets.


Lexington 54, Military Magnet 50
Cam Scott and Adin Daniels both scored 18 points each as the Wildcats won the opening round of the Modie Risher Classic in Charleston.


Irmo 87, Cox Mill 77
Dylan Williams scored 21 points and dished out 7 assists, Xavier Forest had 15 points and Juice Kiett and Cameron Readus each had 14 points for the 4th ranked Yellow Jackets at the Mountaineer Holiday Classic. 
Irmo will play Hickory Grove Christian (NC) at 7:30 pm tomorrow in the final Saturday at Kings Mountain High School in North Carolina. 


GIRLS BASKETBALL
Dutch Fork 47, Daniel 46

Samara Brennan had 10 points, Kori Peterman grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 10 assists and Hillary Offing had 10 steals as the Lady Silver Foxes won at the James Blake Holiday Classic at Northwestern High School.
They will face Myrtle Beach at 12:30 pm Saturday.
