A career night back at home was all Devontae Shuler could ask for Saturday night at Colonial Life Arena.
The former Irmo High School All-State guard had 31 points to lead Ole Miss to a 81-71 victory over South Carolina.
In 34 minutes, Shuler was 8-13 from the field, had 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the Old Rebels (12-8, 7-6).
It was the 3rd straight loss for the Gamecocks (5-9, 3-7), who also saw top scorer Jermaine Couisnard leave the game in the 1st half with a left ankle injury.
Ty Lawson had 22 points and Wildens Leveque added 13 to lead South Carolina, who travel to Tennessee on Tuesday.
