The annual S.C. High School League individual wrestling championships at the Anderson Civic Center saw 4 Lexington County wrestlers come away with gold medals.
Swansea’s Preston Jacobs (132 lbs.), Lexington’s Chance Kilcrease (145 lbs.), River Bluff’s William Butler (160 lbs.) and Chapin’s Shawn Haile (182 lbs.) claimed 1st place at their respective weights.
Jacobs and Swansea teammate Dante Williams, Airport’s Carbin Nelson, Gilbert’s Gaven Baker and Dalton Price, Lexington’s Kilcrease and Isaac Manning and River Bluff’s Parker Palmer, Michael Keisler  Isaac Ortega and William Butler will participate this weekend in the 2019 Best Western S.C. Wrestling Coaches Association’s North-South All-Star Classic at North Myrtle Beach High School.
