It's an All-Region 5-3A Class 3A Lower State final, while White Knoll continued its run as Class 5A "Road Warriors" Monday. 
Gilbert earned a return trip to the state semifinals for the 2nd straight year following a 33-29 win over May River in the 3rd round of the Class 3A playoffs. 
The Indians will vy for a return trip to the state final Wednesday at home against the team it succeeded as Lower State champion in Swansea. The Tigers defeated another Region 5-3A foe in Pelion 36-30.
Back-to-back pinfalls at 182 and 195 pounds enabled Swansea to take a 15-6 lead. The Panthers rallied with 3 straight wins to take a 18-15 lead. 
Swansea reclaimed the lead with a pinfall and forfeit win to go up 27-18. Pelion earned another pinfall to make it 27-24, but the Tigers claimed 2 of the last 3 matches to avenge a loss to the Panthers 9 days earlier at the Region 5-3A quad meet.
Gilbert (26-9) defeated Swansea 65-18 at the same quad meet. The winner will await the Upper State champion which will be decided Wednesday depending on the outcome of Tuesday's 3rd round results.
That winner will face defending state champion Indian Land in Wednesday's Upper State final. The Class 3A final is set for 1 pm Saturday at Dreher High School. 
Over in Summerville, the Timberwolves opened their 3rd round matchup with top seed Wando with 3 straight pinfalls. They would record 3 more pinfalls and secured a 42-32 win over the host team Warriors.
Instead of a rematch with Region 5-5A rival River Bluff, White Knoll (25-9) will travel for its 4th straight road contest. The Timberwolves will face Summerville, which ended the Gators' reign as Lower State champion with a 32-30 victory. 
River Bluff finished the season at 31-3. 
The White Knoll/Summerville winner will face either defending state champion Hillcrest or Lugoff-Elgin out of the Upper State in the Class 5A final at 6 pm Saturday.
