In an effort to centralize operations, Shanahan & Company Sports Management, parent company of the Lexington County Blowfish, the office and operation will be solely at Lexington County Baseball Stadium.

The Blowfish store at 101 East Main Street, open since the team moved to Columbia in 2014, will close at end of the week.
"Being in downtown Lexington has been a wonderful way to help introduce the Blowfish to the community," Blowfish co-owner Bill Shanahan said. "Vicki and I are thankful for our time here and getting to know all the wonderful business owners along Main. We'll continue to work hard on helping make family events happen like our co-sponsorship of the annual Lexington County Chili Cook Off at the beautiful IceHouse Amphitheater along with Lexington's Annual Shamrock Parade.

"It's been exciting to experience the growth on Main and look forward to continuing to expand our commitment to the Lexington community."

The Stadium Club will be the site of the annual Lexington Mayor's Prayer Breakfast on Halloween, Oct. 31 at 7:30 am.  The featured speaker will be announced soon. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.goblowfishbaseball.com. A full buffet breakfast is served. Proceeds benefit a local Lexington charitable organization.
