The final trip to Luther Williams Stadium in 2018 ended in a loss for the Lexington County Blowfish.
The Macon Bacon defeated Lexington County 6-1 Monday.
The Blowfish took a 1-0 lead in Top 4th on an RBI infield single by Sean Parsons of River Bluff High School. He accounted for two of the team's five hits.
The Bacon responded with three runs in the bottom half of the fifth and sixth innings. They finished with 12 hits and pitchers Preston Sparks and Zack Reid combined for 10 strikeouts.
Lexington County (16-29) will play three of its final four games at home. The Blowfish will open Tuesday's matchup with Florence looking to complete the July 25th contest stopped in the Top 7th inning.
The regularly-scheduled game will start immediately following the suspended contest. It's also the final Dog Day Turesday of the 2018 season.
