MLB China to play 3 games at Lexington County Baseball Stadium Sunday and Monday

The Lexington County Blowfishhave  bestowed its team awards. 
Earning Team Most Valuable Player honors was outfielder Michael Green. The Clemson University product and Coastal Plain League All-Star batted .337 with 6 home runs, including 3 at a July 23 home game against the Fayetteville Swampdogs. 
Infielder Houston Wright was named the Blowfish's Offensive Player of the Year. The Gaffney native played in all 49 games and led the team in home runs (8), hits (56) and RBI (31). 
The Jonathan Johnson Pitcher of the Year Award, named after the winningest coach in Blowfish history, was won by Shane Connolly. The Citadel lefthander led the team in starts (9), innings pitched (48 2/3) and strikeouts (45). 
MLB China to play
games in Lexington 

The home of the Lexington County Blowfish will be the site for an appearance by MLB China.
Lexington County Baseball Stadium will host MLB China as they take on the P-27 Academy. The team of 16 and 18 years olds, from Nanjing, China will play 3 games in Lexington County Aug. 11-12. 
Sunday's game begins at 5 pm, with Monday's doubleheader beginning at 2:30 pm. These games are being presented by the Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission.  All tickets are $5.00 admission.
The MLB Development Center will be recognized on the local, province, national and international level as a baseball development program with an academic component of the highest level. 
The MLB Development Center produces a quality student athlete who aspires to pursue a playing career in baseball, thus the focus is to nurture the needs of the student athlete, producing a balanced and prepared individual for opportunities involving the continuing of his education and an MLB playing career upon graduation of high school.  
There are three components to each player’s development: Academics, Baseball, and Social Cultural Development.
