Lexington Nationals to be recognized at Saturday's Blowfish game

Saturday night will find plenty of “Heroes” around Lexington County Baseball Stadium.

The 7:05 pm home contest for the Lexington County Blowfish against the Florence RedWolves is designated as “Super Heroes Night” with fans having the opportunity to dress like their favorite character from the comic books and movie screen.

It’s also Scout Night as scout members from throughout Lexington County will be recognized at the contest. 

Before the crucial Coastal Plain League South Division contest takes place, however, another special group will get their day in the sun. The Lexington National All-Stars won the District 4 and state Coaches Pitch championships, going 10-0 and outscoring their opponents by a 94-22 margin.

The team members are Evans Herndon, Hamp Watts, Connor Golden, Mason Iser, Easton Crocker, Hunter Britt, Tate Dorr, Finn Hazerigg, Patrick Norris, Brady Hawn, Alex Clamp and C.J. Long. They are led by head coach Chris Norris and assistants Blake Britt, Shane Watts, Justin Crocker.

Up next is the Dixie Youth World Series in Ruston, La. starting July 26. The Lexington Nationals are currently raising funds for the trip and have posted a GoFundMe page for contributions. Click on the link to the page to make a contribution.
