Preseason high school baseball rankings include 7 Chronicle Country teams

Chronicle Country teams dominate the preseason rankings of the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association.
A total of 7 teams, including 4 in Class 5A, are included in the first rankings of the season.
Four teams out of Region 5-5A make up the Class 5A rankings. Two-time Class 5A runner-up River Bluff leads the way at number two, followed by Dutch Fork (4th), Chapin (7th), which won the Class 4A title last season, and Lexington (8th).
The Class 3A rankings has Gilbert in 4th, followed by Pelion (tied at 10th). Last year's Class 4A runner-up Airport is ranked 8th in Class 4A.

(Class 4A)
1. A.C. Flora, 2. South Aiken, 3. Greenville, 4. York, 5. Wren, 6. North Myrtle Beach, 7. Belton-Honea Path, 8. Airport, 9. Myrtle Beach, 10 (tie). Eastside & South Pointe


(Class 3A)
1. Bishop England, 2. Cheraw, 3. Seneca, 4. Gilbert, 5. Hanahan, 6. Powdersville, 7. May River, 8. Strom Thurmond, 9. Camden, 10 (tie). Pelion and Crescent
