Saturday's Brookland-Cayce/Gilbert basketball game called off
Saturday’s contest at Brookland-Cayce between the Bearcats and Gilbert was cancelled by the visiting team.
The Indians are currently in quarantine due to covid-19, but hope to resume play in time for the region tournament. The Brookland-Cayce girls’ basketball team cancelled its remaining games 2 weeks ago for similar reasons.
The Bearcats will resume play at 6:30 pm Wednesday at home and 6 pm Friday at Strom Thurmond. It’s tentatively scheduled to face at home Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 5:30 pm on Feb. 6. All games can be heard online at The Dove (1620 AM).
The Lexington boys basketball team is scheduled to face Lugoff-Elgin in a non-region game Saturday.
