S.C. HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE GIRLS SOCCER PLAYOFFS - River Bluff, Lexington win to set up Friday showdown

Gray Collegiate advances to 3rd round for 2nd straight year.

Nicolle Marpartida and Hannah Coats accounted for both Lady Gator scores as they held off James Island 2-1 in The Swamp to advance to the 3rd round of the Class 5A Lower State playoffs. 
The victory improved River Bluff's school-record victory total to 22-0-1. 
Up next is a 3rd round home clash against archrival Lexington on Friday. 


Lexington 3, Fort Dorchester 2
After earning an at-large berth into the Class 5A playoffs, the Lady Wildcats are back in the third round of the S.C. High School League girls' soccer playoffs for the 5th consecutive year.
Lexington fell behind 1-0 before scoring 3 unanswered goals. Emma Grace Powers, Katie Slick and Hannah Grace Waters accounted for the scores. 
The Lady Wildcats will not have to travel far for their 3rd consecutive road game. They will visit The Swamp Friday to face archrival River Bluff, who defeated them twice this season. 


Swansea 2, Wade Hampton 0
Rachel Burns and Carlie Branham both scored and Bri Reynolds had an assist as the Lady Tigers (16-4) advanced to the 3rd round of the Class 3A Lower State playoffs.
Up next is a trip to Charleston to face top seed Bishop England. The Lady Bishops have won the last 3 meetings against the Lady Tigers. 


Gray Collegiate 11, Andrews 0 
The Lady War Eagles advanced to the 3rd round of the Class 2A Lower State playoffs and will play host to either Barnwell or the Governor's School Friday at Columbia International University. 


Wando 1, White Knoll 0 
The Lady Tmberwolves closed out their most successful season in school history at 18-7-1.
The Lady Warriors will face Ashley Ridge in the 3rd round.
