A 2-week layoff was not enough to diminish Dutch Fork's competitive fire.
On Friday, the Silver Foxes began its quest for a third consecutive Class 5A title at home against South Florence with another dominating performance.
The 54-0 victory marked the 21st consecutive win for Dutch Fork (9-0), who will next face West Ashley in the second round. This was also the ninth consecutive post-season win and ninth contest this season in which the Silver Foxes scored 50 or more points.
For the season, Dutch Fork has outscored the oppostion 543-63.
In a contest which saw quarterback Ty Olenchuk throw just one touchdowns to Jalin Hyatt, Dutch Fork scored six on the ground. Junior running back Ron Huff accounted for the team's first four touchdowns and Jonathan Hall added two in the fourth quarter.
The duo combined for 96 rushing yards.
