The Dutch Fork boys' soccer team began its run at a Class 5A title at home Tuesday night.
Led by Damon Williams' 2 goals and an assist, the nationally-ranked Silver Foxes defeated West Florence 5-0 in the opening round of the Class 5A playoffs.
Kyle Dudley had 2 assists and Noah Parker and Paul Jones also scored for Dutch Fork (16-1). 
Up next is a 2nd round home matchup versus James Island. 

Lexington 3, St. James 1
The Wildcats took a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute of the 1st half on a goal by Graham Owiriwa off an assist by Jaxon Keene. The Sharks tied the match 10 minutes later and the score was deadlocked at 1-1 at the half.
In the 2nd half, Rees Getty connected on the cross pass from Ben Mayer to put the Wildcats up 2-1 with 31 minutes remaining. With less than 2 minutes left, Owiriwa set up Mayer for the final goal.
Lexington (11-12-1) will travel Thursday to Stratford.

River Buff 5, Carolina Forest 0 
The Gators (15-4) set up a 2nd round showdown with nemesis Wando on Thursday with the 1st round win. 
The Warriors routed Irmo 11-1. 
This marks the 5th consecutive year the 2 teams will meet in the post-season, with the Warriors holding a 3-1 advantage. In the 4 previous contests, the margin of victory by either team was 1 point. 

Gilbert 3, Hanahan 2 
The Region 5-3A champion Indians held on for the 1st round win over the Hawks in the Class 3A playoffs. 
Angel Barazza, Bryan Jimenez and Kevin Alvarez all scored for Gilbert. Barazza and Ishmael Guijosa both had assists. 
The Indians will play host to Wade Hampton on Thursday. 

Batesburg-Leesville 4, North Central 1
The Panthers will travel to Southside Christian for the 2nd round of the Class 2A playoffs on Thursday. 

Gray Collegiate 2, Brashier Middle College 0
The 2nd-seeded War Eagles will play host to either Buford or Greer Middle College on Thursday. 

Socastee 4, Chapin 2
The run at a 4th consecutive state title ended Tuesday for the Eagles' boys' soccer team. 

North Myrtle Beach 3, Brookland-Cayce 2
Academic Magnet 12, Swansea 0

The Wildcats improved to 16-1 on the season with the 2nd round win and will play host to West Florence on Thursday at 5 p.m.
