Perennial state power Lexington and Gilbert ranked 1-2 in its respective classifications for the 1st S.C. High School Golf girls’ rankings.

The Lady Wildcats also placed 1st in the overall standings ahead of defending Class 5A champion Blythewood. The Lady Indians tied JF Byrnes for 5th overall and trailed only Chesnee in Classes A/2A/3A.

AC Flora ranked 2nd in the Class 4A rankings behind defending cham[ion May River.

The Gators won the final 2 sets to improve to 4-0 both overall and Region 5-5A on Tuesday. 

River Bluff will open the 2nd half of the region schedule in The Swamp Thursday against Lexington. 

Gilbert 3, Swansea 0 (25-8, 25-9, 25-10)

The Lady Indians opened a 3-game homestand with their 5th consecutive win on Tuesday. 

Gilbert (5-1, 4-1) plays host to Pelion Wednesday at 7 pm.
