TUESDAY NIGHT SPORTS - Gilbert volleyball stays perfect in region play.
The Gilbert volleyball team won its 16th straight Region 5-3A match Tuesday, defeating Strom Thurmond in 3 sets.
The scores were 25-20, 25-9, 25-18
The 2-time Region 5-3A champions had 14 serving aces, 40 kills and 19 digs.
Gilbert (21-3, 6-0) travels to Chapin for a non-region matchup.
River Bluff 3, Dutch Fork 0
The Lady Gators improved to 31-7 overall and 5-0 in Region 5-5A with the 3-set win on Tuesday.
River Bluff plays host to Chapin on Senior Night on Thursday.

The team recognzied senior Lauren Oh prior to the match at Golden Hills Country Club.
Sophomore Savannah Truesdale led all scorers in the field for the 14-stroke win.
The Lady Gators will compete in the Region 5-5A tournament at the Ponderosa Country Club in Batesburg-Leesville on Oct. 15.
