Once again, they stormed back behind the play of quarterback Aveon Smith. The Miami (OH) commit rushed for a touchdown and threw 3 in the 2nd quarter as White Knoll improved to 4-0 on the season.
Smith finished with 133 passing yards and 65 rushing yards. Teammate T.J. Peebles added 2 scores.

Hunter Helms’ 353 yards on 25-27 passing and 3 TDs and 3 TDs and an interception on defense by K.Z. Adams was not enough for the War Eagles Friday at Johnson Hagood Stadium.
A big reason was the play of Landsharks’ running back Keegan Williams. He had 357 total yards of offense and 5 TDs, including a go-ahead 90-yard kickoff return for a score after Gray Collegiate rallied from a 21-point deficit.
Gray Collegiate (2-2) travels to White Knoll next week.
