Ricky Williams’ RBI single capped a 4-run rally in the Top 6th which lifted River Bluff to a 7-6 win over Dutch Fork Wednesday.

River Bluff held a 2-0 lead through the 1st 2 innings when Ty Olenchuk put the Silver Foxes on the board with a sacrifice fly in the Bottom 3rd. Alex Urban answered with a RBI sacrifice fly in the Top 4th, only to have Dutch Fork respond with 4 runs in the bottom half of the inning.

Jalen McDuffie started the comeback with a RBI sacrifice fly. Back-to-back wild pitches by 2 River Bluff pitchers and a RBI fielder’s choice by Olenchuk would put Dutch Fork on top 6-4.

Another RBI sacrifice fly, this time by Noah Jackson in the Bottom 5th, pushed the Silver Foxes’ lead to 7-4.

River Bluff loaded the bases in the Top 6th with 1 out. Urban belted a 2-run double, Cameron Ferrell tied the game with a sacrifice fly and Williams drove home Urban with the single.

Reliever Brandon Fowler held Dutch Fork over the final 2 innings to help River Bluff even the 3-game series. The rubber match is set for Friday in The Swamp.
